The center of Bonn is a part of Bonn, which covers downtown Bonn. Located directly at the river Rhine, it`s the location of many tourist features and is the social and cultural central point of Bonn, and beyond this it’s the shopping mall of the city.

Bordered at the east by the river Rhine, Downtown is connected through the “Kennedy Bridge” with Bonn-Beuel, at the north it is bordered by Bonn-Castell, behind the town hall you reach the Northern town and at the southern part you enter the western and the southern part of the city. In 1974 the pedestrian area was built which reaches from the “Bertha-von-Suttner-Platz” at the north to the railway station at the south.

Other places are the “Marktplatz”, the “Remigiusmarkt”, the “Münsterplatz” and the “Kaiserplatz”.
